Top 5 Things To Do in Frisco This Winter

So you’re planning on staying in Frisco, Colorado? First of all: You have made a great choice, my friend! There are many reasons Frisco was voted one of the 20 coolest towns in America by the Matador Network this year (check out that article here), and we’re about to spill the beans as to why!

1. Skiing/Riding
When you think of this small mountain town, you probably think of skiing and snowboarding. There are six world-class ski resorts within minutes of Frisco — hard to believe, we know. We’ve got Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland and Vail all within 26 miles. Boredom is just not an option in Frisco!

2. Sleigh Rides
Whether you’re looking for a romantic honeymoon spot or a family-friendly activity, Two Below Zero sleigh rides have you covered! Indulge in a hearty home-made dinner or relax with a steamy cup of hot cocoa as you enjoy the ride — complete with live musical entertainment. If that isn’t enough, you can also rent a sleigh for a private party! Seriously, who doesn’t want to be pulled around on a draft mule-team-driven sleigh amidst snow-capped mountains?

3. Tubing
You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park. The Adventure Park tubing hill is a perfect way to get outside and let your inner child shine! It’s great family activity, and the hill has six lanes for the ultimate tubing experience. There’s also a ski/ride hill at the Adventure Park so you can strap on those skis and get some practice while avoiding the lift lines. Even better yet? It’s right next to Two Below Zero so you can combine it with your sleigh ride fun!

4. Snowshoeing
Looking to be more budget friendly during your stay? Frisco has a wide variety of trails that are perfect for snowshoeing all winter; and, enjoying Mother Nature is free! Copper Mountain also has free guided snowshoe tours every day at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. as part of its Mountain Ambassador program. They offer advanced and beginner level tours, and during both you’ll learn about the history of Copper, wildlife in the area, and many other fun facts.

5. History
For all you history buffs out there, Frisco has a great Historic Park & Museum located right on Main Street. The Historic Park is a collection of 11 original buildings from the area, and they are filled with artifacts from our past. What makes this family friendly activity even better? Admission is free!

Frisco has something for everyone ... so make sure you take advantage of everything this great mountain town has to offer!
