LUXURY 5 BR, 6 BA HOME – BEAUTIFUL SETTING – DOG FRIENDLY – HOT TUB – SLEEPS 14!

Wow: This home is truly stunning! The back of the house is approximately 70% glass with sweeping views of the National Forest and mountains. It’s also a fantastic choice for multiple families with three master bedroom suites with bathrooms, and its spacious (more than 5,300 square feet) multilevel layout gives everyone room to stretch out and relax – including the family pup! If you’re looking for a great home for your large group, look no further. Everyone will love it!

Happy Trails Lodge is a 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, dog-friendly luxury home with plenty of room for groups of up to 14. Set in the forest above Breckenridge, it’s just a short drive (or in the winter, shuttle ride) to downtown Breckenridge and the ski area base. Ski-in/ski-out access is available for expert skiers. A short trail that starts on the property leads to the green Lower Lehman run, where you can ski straight to the QuickSilver SuperChair. Skiers with intermediate ability or better can ski back to the house via the Peak 10 Falcon Chair slopes.

The impressive combination of wood and stonework gives this home the feel of an elegant Rocky Mountain castle. The main level is a bright, open gathering area for the whole gang with luxurious leather seating, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and large windows to let the forest light in. There’s also a desk/work area for catching up on emails while taking in the views of Peak 10! The inviting custom kitchen features granite counters, a Viking gas range and oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator, top-quality pots, pans and utensils — it’s first class all the way. The large dining table seats eight, additionally there’s room for three at the counter and four at the breakfast nook table. Just off the kitchen is a deck, a gas grill, and a table/chair set for outdoor dining, too.

Downstairs you’ll find another living room with a large flat-screen TV and another large rock fireplace. Off this living area outside is a large outdoor hot tub and deck. There’s another living/den area with a huge corner couch and a large flat-screen TV. There are even pool and foosball tables on this level!

Other amenities include a two-car garage (with parking for three vehicles in the driveway), a washer and dryer, complementary Wi-Fi throughout the home. Like every Summit Mountain Rentals property, the home comes stocked with plenty of linens, towels and hotel-like toiletries, and it’s professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival.

  • No Smoking. One dog allowed.
  • A $1,000 refundable damage deposit will be charged to credit card at check in.
  • For stays of 30 days or longer, a $1,000 refundable damage deposit will be charged to credit card at time of booking.

This house was beautiful, multiple levels with lots of space to hang out. The shuttle stopped right outside the house. We were able to Ski Out (with some basic skiing skills) but we were never able to figure out how to Ski In. The hot tub worked great. We had a fox visit at the porch door daily and squirrels and birds too, which were all such a thrill to see. My family already said they would want to rent here again :)) If anyone knows how to Ski In, that would seal the deal for next year??

Very Nice Place. Since 75% of our party were able to use the ski in and 100% ski out feature, this was helpful. Beautiful place exquisite views and hot tub was great. Generally Summit Mountain Rentals was responsive to our needs and issues. Challenges: 1. People should know that the place is at 10,000 feet elevation and we all suffered issues with altitude sickness. 2. Since there are so many levels and stairs, this compounded the altitude issues. 3. Beds generally uncomfortable relative to the expensive costs and should be replaced. 4. Snowplow service inadequate (my 4WD car got stuck) after a 9 inch snow

This house is absolutely beautiful! Had an incredible time with my friends to celebrate my birthday Labor Day Weekend! Every year I rent a house and boat near Lake Silverthorne, and this was my favorite house so far and working with Summit Mountain Rentals has been the best experience. They are incredibly responsive and helpful and everything in between. There was no drama with paperwork and there were no surprise fees, which has happened on Airbnb and Vrbo in the past. The price they quote is what you will be paying. I will only be booking with Summit Mountain Rentals in Colorado going forward. I would give them 6 stars if I could! Highly recommend!

This home has a great location, it is in a private community just a couple of minutes from the town where you can dine, shop & ski. It has a fully equipped kitchen, large common space for everyone in your group to be extra comfy not to mention the spectacular views from every corner of this home! We enjoyed using the hot tub, pool table & games. Nice features such as high ceilings & windows all over for direct sunlight. Only downside for this home would be the cleanliness & only a few toiletries left for us to use even when we were there for an entire week! Overall we had a blast & enjoyed quality time with family and friends!

What an excellent place to stay! There is so much to do in Breckenridge in the summer, and this location was the perfect one from which to access it all. Just outside the back door is the Arapahoe National Forest and a hiking trail, which we took in to town early one morning (and happened to see a moose on the way)! The kids loved playing outside in the forest and around the river. We enjoyed hikes in the morning and walks in the evening, trips to downtown, and a visit to the ice skating rink. The location could not be any better. Beautiful mountain views, on a hiking trail, just minutes to town. The property was clean, comfortable, and there was plenty of room - as advertised! We hope to be able to stay here again!

Overall, this home was fantastic! It hosted a family reunion of 18 including 7 adults and 11 children, ages 4-18. Despite several mechanical malfunctions including a range latch and a wash machine that failed, summit mountain rentals readily addressed all of these issues. Fortunately, we weren’t planning on doing much cooking and laundry because everyone came for the skiing!! The location of this home is beautiful, convenient yet peaceful, and because of these factors this easily became one of the most relaxing ski vacations despite the size of our group. Everyone left with the fhope that we’ll do this again and feel very fortunate that you accommodated us in such amazing luxury. Hopefully, we can come again. Thank you!

This home had everything we needed to have a wonderful Thanksgiving! As a family of 18, there was plenty of space to be together, or to sneak away for some quiet time. The home itself is beautiful, and has everything you would want or need (including a hot tub). We did all of our own cooking, and even though there were 4 cooks in the kitchen, we still had plenty of room. The kids played outside in the snow in the National Forest, and had a wonderful time! I cannot recommend this home enough!!! It is perfect!!

Great place! We had our family Thanksgiving/Christmas at the Happy Trails Lodge again this Thanksgiving, and it was just as wonderful as it was last year! The kids had a blast playing in the snow along the creek and in the forest behind the house, and loved walking down the trail into town. While we were at max capacity in the house, it never felt crowded - we had room for more. Great location - easy to get in and out of town, and amazing mountain views. Excellent property; I highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again!

We had 17 people in our party and think we could have easily fit a a couple more people in this house. Even all 8 of our cars were able to fit on the property. It's 3 floors and roomy; it's pretty easy to have multiple families here and still have privacy. It was also literally right next to the ski-in, ski-out entrance. Ski-out isn't too steep or long, but it is narrow and there is a short part over a creek which can be intimidating. Ski-in is longer and only accessible from Flapjack (a black route) on Peak 10. It is also easy to get lost coming back (wish we got instructions about that). If the ski-in concerns you, hiking back up the ski-out trail isn't too difficult or the Brown shuttle can take you back to the neighborhood. There was also a shuttle stop directly in front of the house, but we didn't know the route or stops. I was initially put off by the late check-in and the fact that we have to pick up the keys from the management office, but we were able to get in early and ski-out the first day. Everyone loved the indoor hot tub with access to the adjacent family room. Minor nitpicks: -The bottom bunk beds were shallower than most so watch your heads -Two of the bathroom showers did not have doors (previous renters broke them I assume?) -Warming up the house took the better part of a day -Hot tub supports appeared to be buckling Definitely one of our favorite rentals.

This House is BEAUTIFUL and the lay-out is very unique. Super space...ski in, ski out...great view...and moose and fox come by quite regularly. The inside hot tub was great, and the many fireplaces give you that warm cozy feel! ABSOLUTELY loved this place.... it was PERFECT!

What a great house! Very clean, comfortable, and an outstanding location. Just minutes from Main Street, with amazing views of the mountains and national forest. There were 16 of us there over Thanksgiving week. We went on hikes out the back door, walks through the neighborhood, a hike above the Montgomery Reservoir, shopping downtown, and went skiing at Breck during the day. We also played games in the house, and celebrated an excellent Thanksgiving day meal. It was a great trip, with lots of great memories. We'll definitely come back!!!

What a beautiful home to stay in while in Breckenridge! As a group of 16, we were all quite comfortable, and because of all of the family rooms we never felt crowded. Everything was so clean and well-maintained! The kitchen was fabulous, and had everything we needed...every kitchen appliance was there. The view is spectacular, especially from the Master Suite balcony! All of the kids enjoyed playing outside in the snow, and we took several hikes into the National Forest to a small creek that runs through it. One group even hiked back from downtown Breck along the trail. We are so appreciative for the opportunity to stay in such a great home! We will be back!

This property is INCREDIBLE. It sits near the top of a road that runs right alongside the ski resort. Whether your stay is in the heart of winter or in the warmer months you'll love it. The ski-in ski-out feature is really cool and in the summer you have magical hiking through the woods right in your backyard. The house itself is massive yet really cozy with fireplaces everywhere you turn. In particular, our family loved the 2 decks. The one off the master was our favorite; feels like you are sitting in the treetops. We've come back to this property 3 different times and plan to keep returning. It's the perfect Breckenridge getaway house for families or a group of several couples. If you're lucky you'll see moose, fox and countless types of birds during your stay. Stop looking, you've just found the perfect accommodations for you next visit to Colorado.

This home is beautiful, and a perfect fit for our large group. The smart layout allows for plenty of privacy and gathering places for groups. We really enjoyed the big kitchen and spectacular views. The house sits right next to a National Forest.....so plenty of hiking right out the back door. The kids enjoyed the big screen TVs and playroom. The master bedroom is spacious and cozy with a huge stone fireplace, picture windows with views of the mountain and a private balcony. Our group enjoyed grilling out on the large patio off the back of the kitchen. We enjoyed this house so much we have already booked it again for next year!

The specs say that this house is 4 bedrooms, but it is really 5. I has a master, a bedroom with two queens, two bedrooms with one queen, and one gameroom area that has two sets of bunk beds and another day bed. There are living rooms on each floor (except the top floor with the master), so there is still plenty of space to congregate without having to use the gameroom with the beds. The bedrooms are spread out to allow privacy for large groups. The views are magnificent, and the location is perfect. We skied down to the resort from the house. The master has big, beautiful windows and its own fireplace! Our family made great memories here. We will be back!

This is such a superb location. The architectural design is amazing. The rooms are furnished so nicely, and there are plenty of places to sleep. We had 4 families and a total of 9 kids! Everyone fit very comfortably. We were so comfortable here, that every evening...we just hung out and enjoyed the house! I would fully recommend this home as a perfect Breck stay.....

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We had a large group visiting, and the house's large, multi-leveled design allowed everyone space to do whatever made them happy, whether it was cooking and chatting in the well-appointed, open kitchen, watching TV/movies in either of the living rooms, playing games in the bunk room, relaxing in the indoor hot tub, or reading in a quiet bedroom (or, when necessary, hiding away in the office to do a little work!). The location was perfect, with ski in/out access to the slopes and a quick drive to town for restaurants and shopping. The mountain views from every room in the house were stunning. Above all, the house was luxuriously and comfortably appointed, from the furnishings, to the kitchen appliances (and washing machine/dryer), to the heated floors and thick carpets -- just what you want when you get back from the slopes and want to unwind for the evening. We would love to make a return visit!

Beautiful house with beautiful views. The house was so comfortable. It works wonderfully for large groups. There is space for everybody to gather together, but there is also space for people to do their own thing. The kitchen is great for cooking for large groups. It was incredibly well stocked. They've thought of everything. The location is also great. Easy to drive into town and very easy access to the slopes, whether driving or skiing in/out.

This is one of the best ski houses I have had the opportunity to use. The house is spacious and open, with large areas for friends and family to congregate. At the same time, the split level design allows for one to get away to a more private space if needed. The property is in excellent condition. It boasts a large kitchen that became a focal point for our trip, and the living areas are very comfortable. All bathrooms are clean and fully functional without flaws. The ski-in/ski-out feature is very convenient, but I would not have a beginning skier go through the ski path. The house is less than five minutes away from the town center. Overall, the house was ideal for our ski trip, and I look forward to the opportunity to use the location again in the future.

This home was an amazing family getaway--super-luxurious, spacious, but also fantastic for the entire family to be together. The kitchen area alone makes it. The direct ski-in, ski-out from the back door is great, but being nestled in the National Forest also made it a perfect getaway for my wife, who did not ski, just looking out on the views. We will definitely return!

This house is amazing! It accommodated 18 people very easily. Plenty of room for everyone to have a good time. We were able to gather the whole group downstairs for a movie night. There is also enough space to always have somewhere to be alone. The kitchen was great for cooking for large groups and was fully stocked with cooking utensils. I was able to ski in/out but it’s not for beginners. Overall the home was very cozy and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Summit County Rentals and the home owner for letting us use this excellent location.
