What’s up with this rumor about parking meters being installed in Breck?
The Breckenridge Parking Department recently announced the addition of paid parking options in and around our mountain town. Arriving in time for winter 2016-17 will be a series of solar powered, wireless pay parking stations along Main Street, Ridge Street and in the Downtown area parking lots.
When will metering be in effect?
Meters are anticipated to be in operation as of December 2016.
What are the rates?
The first hour will be 50 cents and will increase each hour. There is no time limit. The Breckenridge Parking Department will also be offering a Passport Parking App for Apple and Android devices, allowing you to manage parking meters remotely. Enjoy your meal at local restaurants and have fun around town without having to rush back to feed the meter!

Can I get parking validated?
Yes. Several shops and restaurants in Downtown Breckenridge will be offering validation for parking.
Are there any free parking areas?
Yes! The Ice Rink lot offers free parking throughout the day and is also serviced by shuttles including the Brown Route, Trolley and the Ski Resort Blue Route.
Plus, the FREE AFTER THREE program provides free parking in popular downtown areas including the F-Lot, Tiger Dredge Lot, Wellington Lot and Gondola Lot.
Can I leave my car at Summit Mountain Rentals after checking out?
Unfortunately, no. Because we have a very limited amount of parking in front of our office, we need the spaces to be open for all of our guests. Our parking area is monitored by the town’s officers, and any vehicles left in our lot for more than the maximum allowed time will very likely be towed.
