4 BR, 3.5 BA PRIVATE HOME – WALK TO TOWN, SKI SHUTTLE – HOT TUB, VIEWS!

Now this is Breckenridge: A classic Victorian home in the Downtown Historic District. An ideal location just a two-block walk from the free shuttle to the slopes and three blocks from Main Street’s shopping, dining, and nightlife. But the real attraction is the house itself — and the views! This is how Breck should be experienced … and how you can be your group's “vacation hero” for finding it!

Just walking in the door, you’ll get the feel of historic Breckenridge, but updated with everything a modern family (or large group) needs for comfort and convenience. The spacious living room exudes mountain charm, with a large stone fireplace and plenty of seating for the whole gang to relax and share stories about their conquests on the slopes or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. The kitchen is updated with GE appliances and granite countertops. The dining table comfortably seats six, and there’s seating for four at the counter, too. All the bathrooms are updated with granite counters and beautiful tile as well; the owners did a great job remodeling this vintage Breck home.

The master suite, located on the upper level, features a beautiful Tempur-Pedic® king bed, a very large private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and incredible views of Breck’s ski slopes and the Tenmile Range. There are two more bedrooms upstairs, and a fourth bedroom in the lower level (below the main level). Downstairs, you’ll also find a great family room where the kids to hang out, watch some TV or play a board game while the adults relax.

And the deck? It wraps around the main level and offers perfect views of Breckenridge Ski Resort, as well as your own large private hot tub. You simply won’t find a nicer place to relax, take in the scenery and sooth those tired muscles after a day on the slopes or trails.

Everything went smoothly. House was as expected. Host was attentive. In good shape minus a dripping shower in the basement that is being fixed after our stay. Hot tub and location were excellent. Few blocks away for the gondola parking and with little kids we drove there, but could walk it. Basement a good place to 'stash' the kids. Would like a few more dressers in bedrooms. Overall a good value.

Just a group of old snowboarders making our annual season kickoff in CO. The house slept five of us with no problem which was good since we didn’t anticipate the 5th person. The half bath on main floor was super handy. Plenty of space to be comfortable. Place was very clean. Heat worked great. Fireplace is nice to have. Hot tub was great. Only downfalls were no trash bags for kitchen (not the end of the world) and the pillows were hard and lumpy. Also king bed in master needs replaced. It’s like a thick foam mattress topper trying to hide a bad bed. Didn’t make it unusable but had to choose angles to sleep so I didn’t roll one way or the other. Aside from those minor things I would stay again without question.

A very nice place in great location. Well equipped kitchen (but suggest adding some plastic cups for hot tub use) and just generally a very comfortable place. To avoid bad sleep someone renting this unit will need to be okay with stiff memory foam tempurpedic-type mattresses (which are everywhere). Also pillows are lousy throughout ... bring your own! But these are quibbles; a very nice unit on the whole.

Close to all attractions, Restuarant, grocery store. Close to office. The only thing the house needs is upgraded water heater as we needed to take turns scatter out shower times so we would not run out of hot water. Had to get one toilet fixed but they did it the very next day.

The Mountain Comfort Haus was a perfect location for 5 old guys reuniting after 28 years since leaving the USAF. The house was clean, well equipped with everything we needed. The house was a perfect distance to walk to town. Very quiet and friendly neighbors. Only suggestion I would make is to replace the BBQ's and the couch upstairs is just about done. Otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

High School girlfriends reunion in September. The house was perfect for our reunion. Everyone loved it. We had 10 ladies who attended high school in Sheridan Wyo and a fabulous time was had by all. Also managed to park one car in garage and 3 on the drive.

The Mountain Comfort Haus was a very pleasant place to stay. The unit came mostly as described, check-in/out was simple, and the location was great. The only issues with the unit were the complicated gas fireplace not working properly, all the nice HDTV's only having basic cable without HD, and the garage door not working properly.

Everything ran very smooth. The house was just as described. The master bedroom had a wonderful bed!!! We had a leak under the kitchen sink, I called the rental company and within one hour a maintenance person was there to fix the issue. The location was great, a short 5 min walk to Main st and all the shopping and dining you could ever want. Overall very satisfied.

We arrived on Dec 31, grilled steaks and opened some wine and enjoyed the night. The second day we were there, we ran out of hot water, but the manager stopped by and we did not have the problem for the rest of our stay. The house was close to town, about 3 blocks to Main Street. It was 2.5 blocks to the bus stop to skiing. The hot tub was great for after skiing relaxation.

This was my second summer in this house and we enjoyed it very much. The house is in excellent condition, neat, clean, uncluttered, spacious, beautiful patio perfect for young children and in an excellent location. The gardens of the HOA are lovely and we have a beautiful view of the mountains from the back of the house. The downstairs apartment is an asset for couples or families with young children, who want a space where they don't have to worry about being disturbed. I highly recommend this home. My only concern is my guests found the mattresses old and uncomfortable. Despite my feedback the previous year this problem had not been addressed. I solved the problem by buying gel mattress toppers for all the mattresses myself so my guests could have a restful sleep.

Except the really old heating system which takes really long to heat and gets really hot. And the wifi did not work, but the staff were generous enough to offer us a hot spot. Humidifiers in every room which is great, I wish we could stayed for longer.

This is a very nice property within walking distance of shopping and restaurants and a quick bus ride to the gondola for skiing. It was very spacious, having plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for my 2 sons and their girlfriends. We enjoyed the views of the mountains. We would stay here again!

There was lots of room to move about without bumping in to each other; our 3 teenage boys had the daylight basement area to themselves. The kitchen was well-equipped. Overall, a very lovely home which is much nicer than the on-line pictures. Gave a "4" for location only because it is 2-3 blocks from the bus route to the gondola, a little hard for some carrying gear. It is a further walk to town but very manageable. Terrific views and would stay again!
