Located just a half mile from downtown Breckenridge and two blocks from a shuttle stop to town and the slopes, Rapids Retreat is a great spot for your next mountain getaway. This lovely 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom deluxe home is the perfect retreat for families or groups of up to 10 people, with new hardwood flooring and furniture updates throughout. There’s a gas grill on the upper deck and a large private hot tub on the lower patio

The living room on the main level has an LCD TV and a wood burning fireplace to relax next to after a great day in the mountains. The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you’ll need to whip up meals for your group. There is seating for eight people at the dining table, and the upper deck is right off the kitchen and living room. On the lower level you’ll find a pool table and a separate kitchenette/mini bar (fridge and sink).

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer and parking for two vehicles. Every Summit Mountain Rentals property comes stocked with plenty of linens, towels and hotel-like toiletries, and is professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival. Our helpful staff is also available 24 hours a day to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay with us an unforgettable experience.

SPECIAL UNIT NOTES – PLEASE READ:

  • No Smoking.
  • A $500 refundable damage deposit will be charged to credit card at check in.
  • Renters must be a minimum of 25 years old.
  • A four-wheel drive vehicle is required during winter.
  • Parking: 2 outdoor spaces total.
  • Pet Fee: $50 per night per pet. 2 dog max.

Overall, the space worked great for family of 8 people. The issues we had were cosmetic and cleanliness. The carpet is in bad need of a cleaning or just new carpet in general. The non carpeted areas left your socks black. The king bed was the only comfortable bed. All others need new mattresses. More pillows needed in beds as well. The couch and chair in living room were pretty dirty. The couch needs replacing as it is broken in the corner piece and on the end. The dryer does Not dry efficiently. It took 4-6 hours to dry a load of towels. Bathtub on main floor does not drain well. This would be a great property to stay at if some overhauls of replacing/updating furniture and a deep cleaning of floors were done.

House was near perfect - location, layout, etc. 2 of the 3 fans were inoperable, and the grill needs a good cleaning so it will start, and the exterior could be cleaned up. The property management company guidelines were the most troublesome. 4pm check in and 10am check out restrict your stay enough, but having to go down into town to the office and pick up and drop off keys takes even more time and inconvenience. Why can't the set up a keypad like every other VRBO I have ever stayed at? Also, the parking restrictions are ridiculous. There is ample room for more than two cars so you don't have to shuttle and pay for parking in town.

Our family really enjoyed this place! It’s very spacious with plenty of room. Everything was clean (except the grill could use a good cleaning). Hot tub was really nice. A previous reviewer mentioned the poor lighting in the kitchen - would agree, but not a big deal. Kitchen was well equipped although the dishes were right out of the 70’s! We also could have used some Tupperware type containers to store leftovers. Third floor was a lot warmer than the rest of the house. We did find a fan in the closet which helped. Overall, you can’t beat the location - a short walk to everything, and the decks overlooking the river were awesome. Highly recommend for a large group getaway. We had a spectacular time. Thank you!!

We booked this rental because of it's proximity to main street and having a river out the back. We could hear the river the moment we got out of our car. However...our 4 night stay turn into a 3 hour stay. A family illness caused us to turn in our keys and go back home. Chris with Summit Rentals was kind enough to refund our pet and cleaning fee. Real bummer we did not get to enjoy our rental, but Summit earns 5 stars from us and has earned our repeat business.

Wonderful. Home warm, inviting, well equipped. Great location, comfy beds, nice bathrooms. Bedrooms got a little warm at night. Only issue was lighting in kitchen was too dim. It was hard to prepare meals when we could hardly see. Recommend better lighting. Overall a great place and would gladly return.

This home is tucked tightly onto it's site with neighbors nearby, but it has a great location within walking distance to downtown. The open loft makes quiet time a challenge in the upper level master suite, and the pool table adjacent to the lower level bedrooms can also be a challenge. We had small children with us and there were lots of hazards such as stairs without guardrails and immediate access to the creek. The kitchen was big enough, but very dark. The living space is narrow, and the furniture is set up to look at the TV instead of out the windows at the view. The outdoor spaces were nice, but lacked adequate furniture. This space would be good for groups of adults or older children, but was not ideal for our family vacation.

The only suggestion I could make to make the stay better was moving the sectional downstairs to allow more seating for our family to all hang out in the basement. Otherwise could not have asked for better accommodations for our trip to Breckenridge

This house worked perfectly for our family. It was situated close to Breck. We were able to walk to the beautiful town. Loved listening to the Blue River from inside our home and watching it from our two decks. Everything in the house was in perfect working order. Very clean, too. Our experience was great overall! We had a group of 10 adults coming to celebrate my birthday. Summit Mtn Rentals were very responsive when we got there and the driveway was very icy; they sent the maintenance crew to put down extra salt and shovel. The house was very spacious, house was clean, hot tub was warm, kitchen fully stocked, and we made ourselves right at home. It was a 10+ minute walk but you could walk to town and the lifts from the house. We would definitely stay again!

The house gets high marks for location and design. It worked well for our extended family and the path to town through the woods was a great plus. There was one unresolved issue. The connection to the BBQ on the deck leaks gas, which creates an unpleasant gassy smell in the living room when the deck door is open. This might even be a safety issue. The agency sent someone to check it out but he apparently didn't smell anything. Everyone in our group did. The tile at the back of the tub in the upstairs bathroom needs repair. On the whole the house was great and we enjoyed our stay there.

The property we stayed in was wonderful, cozy and close to town and the resort. The only problem we encountered was parking, but the office worked with us to find something and let us know of other options! Summit Rentals was awesome. I highly recommend them for any group.

The sound of the rapids, the walk through the woods to town, the snow on the peaks, the stars at night, the peace and quiet. A Picnic at Boreas Pass, hiking on the Colorado Trail, cooking paella in the park by the softball fields, browsing the shops, a memorable week in Breckenridge.
